Music Therapy New Zealand Grants & Scholarships
Music Therapy New Zealand has dedicated funds available to provide grants and scholarships for specific purposes.
These funds have been established with the support of generous donations. We are grateful to our principal supporters, Mary and Freddie Lindgren and Sir Roy McKenzie. Over the years other supporters like Judith Clark, Erika Schorss and Ronnie Scott made bequests to MThNZ. Without their support we would not be able to offer grants to our members to continue promoting and developing the power of music therapy in Aotearoa.
The Project Grants Group (PGG) includes at least two members of the MThNZ Board and other nominated MThNZ members. They manage the Funds, accept applications and make recommendations on awards and grants to the Board.
In addition to the General Grants Fund, funding is also available to enable music therapists to respond to community needs by contributing to new, and expanding existing, crisis intervention projects.
