I turned my love of Jazz improvisation towards improvising and connecting with a wide range of people and cultures, and enjoying everyone’s individual musicality and abilities along the journey.
As an Auckland based Registered Music Therapist, with a client centered and strengths based approach, I orientate my sessions around the wishes and goals of my clients and their loved ones. As a jazz musician, I draw from my love of improvisation to tailor the session directly to the needs of the people I work with.

Libby has been my son’s music therapist for the last two years. He was about 19 months old when we started and is now 3 1/2. My son has both a passionate love for, and an over-sensitivity to, sound and was easily anxious and overwhelmed when Libby first started therapy with him. He is now a very confident boy who can tolerate and enjoy many things that used to overwhelm him. Libby’s patience, kindness, flexibility and professional insight have been invaluable and I have loved watching her relationship with my son develop. Thank you, Libby!
