Position for Permanent Part Time Music Therapist
A permanent part time position is available at the Wellington Early Intervention Trust for a Registered Music Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing centre based therapy and teaching services for preschool children with special needs.Therapists work in a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, programme planning and interventions for preschool children with developmental delays. Employment will be from 11 October 2010 for 2 days a week at the centre in Lower Hutt. The centre is closed for school holidays.
Applicants must be a NZ Registered Music Therapist as recognised by Music Therapy NZ. Previous experience working with young children is desirable.

Position of Full-Time Music Therapist

A full-time employment opportunity exists for a music therapist in Invercargill. The position involves working with students from 5 to 21 years of age with wide ranging special needs onsite a specialist school and resource centre. Some outreach work to attached satellite classes is required. The successful applicant will need to be fully registered as a Music Therapist and it is desirable that school teaching qualifications are also held. They will work closely with the teaching staff at the school and as an integrated member of the therapy team. The music therapy suite has had significant investment over the recent period and is well resourced with high quality instruments and a soundbeam. Professional development and supervision is well supported.
